The Choker Obsession October 03 2016, 0 Comments

The 90’s choker is back and it looks better than ever! With this trend becoming a rage and seasonal variations coming in, we at Zahana are introducing new collections of choker pieces to keep you up with the same. Be it in velvet, metal, rhinestones or different leather qualities, chokers are being sported right from celebs at events, off-duty models and of course, all of us who like to perk up our looks, Indian or Western.

In the first look, we paired a printed cape and pant set with a chunky gold choker. It’s the festive season after all! Let one piece up the ante for you.

For the second look, we opted for something more casual in clothing while we stacked the chokers - An improvisation of the current trend making it even more hotter.  Don’t you think?

A denim-on-denim has always been a win-win situation and it couldn’t get any better with just the right layering of Silver sparkle mirror and a leather drop choker. Bold and stylish!

In another variation, we paired a one shoulder top and ripped denim with a cleverly layered mix of antique chain and fabric stoned choker.

And then we have Our Best seller choker from last week which is sadly not in stock now, but hey, we're going to be getting more new metal ones soon!

We hope you loved our looks. In our opinion, chokers are truly a timeless add-on! Let us know which ones were your favorite. Snap away and we would love to repost you.

The Color Code August 17 2016, 0 Comments

Colored jewelry is something that a lot of us hesitate to buy. Reason being? We feel that they are restrictive. Majority of you agree to this, but we at Zahana believe otherwise. We feel that colored jewelry can be worn as much as monotoned jewelry, infact they can be worn so much better. The trick is to to create a balance between all the colors of your outfit and/ or find something common to tie your outfit and accessory together. So today, we have five 5 different style options for you, that will help you pair up your colored accessory even better.

Outfit 1

The dress we picked has blue as its dominant color, and what could be a better color than pink to go with it? Traces of pink all over the outfit bind the earring with the dress and a golden heel completes the look.

Outfit 2

Turquoise is a super versatile color that can actually be paired with a lot of things. We decided to keep the top neutral and concentrate the colors on the bottom, hence creating a balance between all the colors and looking ‘oh so chic!’

Outfit 3

We decided to go bold with this one and really color coordinate with a green earring, a green top and green lips.

Outfit 4

Pastels are evergreen and this being the season of pastels how could we miss out on it? A bright stoned neckpiece paired up with a neutral pastel top sealed the deal for us!

Outfit 5

Long chains are a favorite but can get tricky when they’re colorful. Since the chain is dominated with pink and white, we decided to use a neutral top and add a pop of color by using a pista green blazer.

We actually shot these pictures to make a special announcement but there's time for that, so till then enjoy this post guys. We've layered chains because one piece of turquoise marble is just too less!

The Wedding Affair February 21 2016, 0 Comments

Hello Guys,

Itsss the wedding season and we've been wanting to do a wedding lookbook sort of a thing from a really long time. The idea was to show you a variety of outfits and styles that you could flaunt this wedding season!

We've collaborated with 2 Lovely Bloggers, Sushmita Agarwal of Miss Pink Shoes and Rutika Saraf of My Fashion Confession to Decode this wedding affair. We had a great time working together, sharing experiences, ideas and just discussing work! It's always great working with people who love what they do, and are completely passionate about their work.

For Our First Look we decided to do a carnival/ mehendi outfit. Now a lot of weddings have started having these themes and you just don't want to pick up something that you are never going to be able to wear again. Crop top-skirt, maxis, kurta-palazzos, dhoti pants is what you can definitely opt for, for simple functions!

I'm wearing a Ritu Kumar outfit that i picked up on sale for dirt cheap considering its label ritu kumar, it was dirt cheap. All accessories are obviously from zahana (:-P), some of them are already sold and some you can find on the website.

You can Checkout Rutika's and Sushmita's full outfit on their respective blogs. Find the links below!

For our second look, we chose the main wedding function or the pheras.  Depending on  your comfort, you can opt for lehengas, sarees and  salwars/ anarkalis. I'm wearing a Pink-Beige salwar with a golden palazzo and i teamed it up with jhumkas because they give the perfect traditional look. My personal style is very simple, i believe your clothes/jewels shouldn't over power your personality and too much of anything can kill your look so keep it simple and stylish!

We had a great time shooting this and we hope you guys liked the post.

Thanks a tonne to our photographer for being really patient and clicking some amazing pictures!

Thanks to Rutika and Sushmita for making this possible and planning everything! You can follow them on facebook/ instagram and their official website for your daily dose of fashion and make-up!

Happy Wedding Season! :-P

Jewellery for Students! August 02 2015, 0 Comments

Hello Guys,

This blog post is all about how you could look presentable yet keep it simple when you're in college. Now College is one place where you don't really have to dress up too much but it's really important to look presentable!

we've kept our looks more on the indian side, considering many colleges have dress code rules!

Look 1: Simple outfit with an Antique long chain or you could either wear a pair of antique earrings! Dull and lightweight jewellery that lets you concentrate in style.

For our Look 2 we've used only a simple bracelet and stone earrings! Jewellery shouldn't overpower your outfits when at college or work so keep it simple yet stylish! :-)

Look 3: For those Bad Hair days, or tonnes of work to be completed and you decide to make a Bun, These Double-Troubles can make you look so cool!

Look 4: Layered chains are totally in trend and you can flaunt simple ones to your college on plain tops or kurtis!

We are always trying to keep our posts a little useful rather than concentrating on being fashionable, So hope you guys liked this one!
